What to Know About FRSC And Their Various Duties?

FRSC stands for Federal Road Safety Corps. They came into existence likely February 1988. At that time they had the backing of Decree No. 45 of 1988 though we saw it amended in Decree 35 of 1992.

First Category – RMA Cadre:

Road Marshal Assistant II: SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NABTEB, English and maths and 3 other subjects.

Marshal Assistant III: SSCE (WAEC/NECO) or NABTEB, 3 credits with English inclusive.

Second Category – MI Cadre:

Marshal Inspector I: NYSC discharge latter, degree certificate and statement of result not more than 5 years. Fresh graduates needed here.

Marshal Inspector II: NCE, nurses and midwife that are registered and statement of result not more than 5 years. Fresh graduates highly favoured here.

Marshal Inspector III: ND, health and extension work and statement of result less than 5 years.

Third Category – Officer Cadre:

Only NYSC latter and university degree certificate in some selected discipline.

Fourth Category – Officer (MBBS) Cadre:

Graduated from medical college, school from recognised universities and NYSC discharge certificate.

FRSC Recruitment Requirement and Criteria for Application

• Applicant must be a Nigerian.
• Able bodied men and women between the age of 18 to 30 years of age should apply.
• Height of 1.68m for men and 1.63m for female.
• Chest not more than 0.87m for men.
• Paramilitary activities require individuals that are physically fit, so you must be physically fit and more also mentally fit.
• Those convicted by court of law for any crime won’t be allowed to apply.
